In reality, the full title of this fansite is "The Obedient Dog" - named after Naoe Nobutsuna. If you don't get it, keep watching. I shortened it for style and ease in remembering the URL.

Obedience is the first English anime fansite, as far as I know. If you can provide proof of otherwise, feel free.

Why did Prinny create a fansite?

Before "Obedience", I'd never made a fansite. I've been a fan of this or that anime, but I just never had the inclination to make a site focused on one title. I guess I experienced "Mirage of Blaze" at the right time? It was also because there was, as far as I could tell, not nearly enough English sites devoted to MoB. There was Cherry's site...and a random comment here and there about it, but MoB was so obscure to the English anime fandom, it was even a longshot for Media Blasters to buy the rights. Truthfully, the first time I heard of "Mirage of Blaze", I thought it was the most preposterous load of crap excuse for anime ever. The second time I learned more about the premise and I was like, 'well, it's boyxboy, so it's my duty as a fangurl to at least look at it.' I ended up buying the first DVD.

A while later...

Just watched the new volume. WHOA!!! HE SAID IT!!! HE ACTUALLY SAID IT!!! "I'm your dog!" That is...SO hot. Can't wait for the next release. That scene was just...electric. *shudders*

And the next...

ONE AND A HALF MONTHS!!!! ONE AND A HALF MONTHS BEFORE THE FINAL DVD OF MIRAGE OF BLAZE!!!! *cries bitterly* *whimpers* Anyways... *sniff* The third DVD is out and... it was nice. *sighs* Takaya... you poor, ignorant fool. If only you knew. Naoe, you twisted, tortured man, you. If only you weren't so madly obessesed with whom you may never have... Kousaka's not that bad of a character, either. Sure he's the enemy, but meh, he's cool. Just wears a bit too much make up. *shrug* The story's gettin really involved now. I just sort of read the subtitles, not sure if I care what all the dialouge is about. There're some missin, trapped spirits and the Hojo Clan is organizing hostile takeover... Narita airport's been kidnapped... Man. I just want more hot man on boy action. Just give me some under the robe groping. ;______; But no, I have to wait until the 4th disk.

And then suddenly I was a fan. BL works in mysterious ways. :b I'm working on some other MoB-related projects, so stay tuned.

Trust: Right, so this isn't actually THE FIRST layout of "The Obedient Dog". Only a select few pitiful humans have laid eyes on that monstrocity. This one was barely as inhumane. I used i-frames, which was the extent of my coding ability for a LOOOONG time. I didn't mind it. I-frames work for my purposes, but now I've started using Firefox primarily (I don't mean to - it chose itself as my default) and so i-frames don't look so hot anymore. You can find the image source mix up in the series section of the screen caps. It's a dark layout because, well, MoB is a pretty damn dark series. Anyways, not much to say about it. It was a pretty capture, made a nice layout and I liked it. *shrug*

Crush: I like how I'm just totally making up these titles for layouts as I type this. NAMING LAYOUTS!!! WRITING COMMENTARY ON HTML!!!! What kinda egotistical maniac started that crap?! Anyways, I really loved this layout. It was never completed. But it's made from a wallpaper I have in the extras section, called "Rapery". *sweatdrop* The red and black with the bright tannish color...gah, I'm still in love with the concept. It's so f'in smexy. Oh, and yes, it's i-frames again. GAH! TEH SMEX!!@!
